Job Description

Our Singapore office was established in 2000 and specializes in shipping & offshore, focusing on dispute resolution (arbitration and litigation), casualty response/investigation as well as cross-border transactions and financing. The firm is a premier brand name within these sectors, and has built up a strong English law team with shipping & offshore expertise in Singapore.

We are looking for a junior associate to join our Singapore shipping disputes team to assist with both dry and wet matters. Depending on experience and qualification, there may also be an opportunity for such associate to assist our projects team.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • England & Wales qualified solicitor, NQ to 2 year PQE, with relevant working experience in an international law firm.
  • Experience in a broad range of disputes in international trade and shipping matters.
  • Experience with wet shipping matters / casualties.
  • Ability to acquire, consolidate and apply fundamental and up-to-date knowledge of the law
  • Attention to detail and good practical case handling skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle concurrent tasks and tight deadlines.
  • A team player with good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Efficient, organised and with excellent time management skills.
  • Personable and able to communicate comfortably with colleagues and clients.
