Job Title: Operations Assistant (Freight Forwarding)
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Assistant to support daily logistics and customer service functions in our freight forwarding operations. The role involves coordinating shipments, handling documentation, and ensuring smooth communication between customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and monitor import/export shipments (air/sea/land)
Prepare and process shipping documents (e.g. invoices, packing lists, permits, BL/AWB)
Liaise with carriers, agents, and customers on shipment status and requirements
Provide timely updates and handle customer inquiries professionally
Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company procedures
Assist in resolving shipment issues or delays
Maintain accurate records and data entry in internal systems
Support general administrative and operational tasks
Requirements:
Minimum Diploma or equivalent (Logistics/Supply Chain preferred)
Prior experience in freight forwarding or logistics is an advantage
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude
