Service Technician

The REL Service Technician is responsible to support diagnosis, repair, and to troubleshoot the refuse collection vehicles, or waste equipment. This role ensures that repairs are safely, reliably, and efficiently completed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems of refuse equipment on vehicles / standalone.
• Support preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and policies.
• Provide assistance to customers, and fellow technicians when required.
• Able to perform or undertake repairs at workshop, as well to support repairs necessary for customer's equipment at site.
• Communicate well, truthfully.
• Diligent, takes initiative, and willing to work extra hours to resolve customer needs and work across teams.
• Timely comply with company standard operating procedures, work instructions, policies, guidelines and safety protocols.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Line Manager or the Management

Requirements

• Hands-on knowledge of vehicle / equipment maintenance
• Ability to follow repair process and guidance
• At least 2 years of hands-on vehicle maintenance / repair experience
• Minimum GCE N'level. Technical certificate or diploma is preferred.
• Singapore Class 3 driving license
