Service Technician

.Important. This is a Singapore-based 12-hour shift role, with shifts typically from 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am. Applicants must be able to work from and remain available in Singapore on rostered workdays. Rosters typically involve 3-4 working days per week, subject to operational requirements.

Role Overview
As a Service Technician, you will be part of the frontline team that keeps critical customer equipment running reliably. This is a practical, hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with tools and technology, and learning directly from experienced Engineers. You will support customers on-site through maintenance, troubleshooting, installations, and service activities that have a direct impact on equipment uptime and service quality.

This role offers strong exposure to real customer environments, technical equipment, and structured service processes. It combines hands-on technical service work with accurate documentation, product record updates, and clear service report writing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and systems according to standard operating procedures and maintenance checklists to ensure optimal performance and minimise unplanned downtime.

• Conduct basic troubleshooting and repairs for common hardware and equipment issues, replacing parts where required and escalating complex problems with clear documentation of findings.

• Support equipment installations by assisting with equipment setup, mounting, cabling, basic configuration, site preparation, and functional checks under supervision.

• Maintain accurate product and service documentation by completing service reports, maintenance logs, equipment records, and job updates clearly and within required timelines.

• Deliver basic customer support on‑site by providing job status updates, responding to simple enquiries about equipment use or service activities, and representing the company professionally.

• Follow all safety procedures, use tools and equipment correctly, and comply with company and customer site safety regulations.

• Collaborate with Field Service Engineers and Senior Service Engineers to continually improve technical skills and service quality.

Requirements

• Able and willing to work rostered 12-hour shifts, including 8am-8pm and 8pm-8am, with weekends, public holidays, or rotating schedules where required.

• Applicants must have the right to work in Singapore or be eligible to obtain the required work pass, subject to MOM requirements.

• Diploma in Electrical, IT, Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field. Fresh Diploma graduates with strong technical aptitude, curiosity, and a willingness to learn are welcome to apply.

• Hands-on experience in technical service, maintenance, installation, or repair roles will be an advantage, but is not essential.

• Able to read technical documentation and write clear, accurate service reports, job notes, and basic customer or service updates.

• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, or IT systems, with the ability to follow technical manuals, diagrams, and work instructions.

• Able to work from and remain available in Singapore on rostered workdays to support SLA, customer-site response, and operational coverage needs.

• Able to travel to customer sites across Singapore, including by public transport where suitable for non-urgent service activities.
