About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Service Technician or Engineer to join our dedicated service team. In this role, you will be the face of our company to our clients, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of critical water treatment systems. You will perform regular preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on a variety of systems, with a primary focus on Demineralized water System, Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Ultrafiltration (UF) plants across Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled routine servicing of water treatment equipment, including RO and UF systems, at customer sites.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or process issues on-site and perform necessary repairs to minimize system downtime.
- Pump & Equipment Overhaul: Perform maintenance, servicing, on various types of pumps, motors, valves, and associated mechanical equipment.
- System Optimization: Monitor system performance parameters, make necessary adjustments, and recommend improvements to ensure optimal operation and water quality.
- Site Coordination: Plan daily travel routes efficiently to service multiple customer locations across Singapore.
- Documentation: Prepare and submit detailed service reports after each job, documenting work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future action.
- Customer Communication: Liaise directly with customers to explain technical issues, provide updates on service status, and offer technical advice.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Diploma or Nitec in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Prior experience in operation & servicing water treatment systems, (RO/UF/EDI) or industrial equipment (pumps, piping) is highly advantageous. Fresh graduates with a strong technical aptitude are welcome to apply.
- Familiarity with Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Ultrafiltration (UF) system components and operation.
- Experience with pump maintenance, bearing replacement, and seal changes.
- Basic understanding of electrical control panels and electrical wiring is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and technical manuals of equipment.
Other Requirements:
- Possess a Class 3 driving license (Singapore) is mandatory.
- 2-5 years relevant experience preferred in water/wastewater treatment systems, pumps, valves, instrumentation or related equipment.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Singapore.
- Willing and able to perform hands-on site-based technical duties in industrial environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work after office hours for urgent breakdowns when required.
- Good communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Senior position will be considered for candidates with more experience.
