Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, servicing, troubleshooting and commissioning of marine electronics systems such as radar, GPS, AIS, ECDIS, sonar and communication equipment onboard vessels.
- Carry out onboard and site works including cabling, equipment integration, system testing, and sea trials to ensure proper functionality and compliance with technical specifications.
- Diagnose and rectify faults related to navigation and communication systems, including signal issues, power supply, sensor integration and network connectivity.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain basic documentation (e.g. permits, checklists), while liaising with customers and reporting technical issues or defects identified during service.
Requirements:
- Minimum NTC/ITC or Diploma in Electronics Engineering (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient in computers, electronics, and telecommunication systems.
- Knowledge and experience in marine electronics and the offshore industry will be an added advantage.
