Service Technician (AV System)
To support multiple project sites in Singapore and Regional. The ideal candidate willhave strong proficiency in audio visual (AV) system diagnostics and a goodgrasp in unified communications (UC).
KeyResponsibilities:
- Providepost-sale maintenance experience to customers.
- Plan,schedule and execute preventive maintenance with customers to ensure systemreliability and take ownership in executing corrective actions upon clientapproval.
- Performremote/onsite diagnostics to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve existing orpotential faults within AV and VC integrated systems
- Providepost-installation support such as remote/onsite technical assistance, firmwareupdates, and/or configuration changes.
- Coordinatewith end users, product suppliers and vendors to resolve technical productissues promptly and within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA). E.g. RMAprocess.
- Delivertimely, accurate, and well-documented service reports following everymaintenance or troubleshooting engagement.
- Identify,indicate, and assist in changes accrued to schematics, BOM list, and otherrelevant materials discovered during site evaluations.
- Evaluatethe severity and risk of technical challenges, escalating to manufacturers orprincipals when issues exceed internal capacity.
- Supportpost-commissioning activities such as end-user trainings, material development,documenting accurately on handover and taking over of functioning systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- NITEC or Diploma in AV / Electronics / IT / Electrical or related discipline.
- Min 3 yearsof experience in operation, engineering and/or installation/maintenance of AV systems.
- Preferablyto have general knowledge of AV products (e.g. Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Crestron,Extron, Kramer, Polycom, Cisco Telepresence, Logitech, Biamp and QSYS)
- Knowledgeof AV & IT technologies (e.g. TCP/IP, Networking, Dante, AVB, SDVOE, H.264,H.323, MPEG, EDID, HDCP)
- Ability to communicate effectively with Chinese business partners.
