Job Purpose:
Overseeing daily front-of-house operations to ensure a positive customer experience and managing the service staff.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise staff: You would establish work schedules and delegate tasks to the service staff, such as servers and hosts. This includes providing on-the-job training and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of service.
- Manage operations: You will monitor daily operations to ensure smooth workflow, coordinate with the kitchen team, and maintain safety and sanitation standards.
- Customer service: As the senior floor staff, you will handle guest inquiries and resolve any complaints with professionalism to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Inventory control: You would help manage inventory for front-of-house needs, such as drinks and serving supplies, and assist with placing new orders.
- Cash handling: Responsibilities often include managing cash floats, balancing tills, and performing other general cash handling procedures.
- Assist management: You will work closely with the restaurant manager to support business objectives, which may include tasks such as tracking labour costs or contributing to marketing initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in the hospitality or F&B industry, preferably in a supervisory or senior role.
- Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving abilities are essential.
- Must be able to lead a team effectively and handle customer issues efficiently.
- Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
