Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Tunnel Engineer to support and oversee tunnelling works for our construction project. The role involves technical coordination, site supervision and ensuring all tunnelling activities are carried out safely and in accordance with project requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for tunnelling works, including TBM or NATM operations
- Monitor tunnel construction activities and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and method statements
- Review technical submissions, method statements and construction drawings related to tunnelling works
- Coordinate with geotechnical, M&E and site teams on tunnelling activities
- Identify and resolve technical and site-related issues during construction
- Monitor ground conditions and support implementation of mitigation measures
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders on technical matters
- Assist in preparation of progress reports and technical documentation
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in tunnelling or underground construction projects
- Experience in TBM and/or NATM tunnelling methods preferred
- Strong understanding of tunnel construction processes and sequencing
- Experience in site supervision and coordination
- Familiar with safety regulations and authority requirements in Singapore
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
