About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated
Senior Trade Services Officer to join our Operations team at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will be responsible for executing and managing trade finance transactions in compliance with regulatory standards, internal policies, and customer requirements. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient delivery of trade services, including letters of credit, documentary collections, and trade financing, while maintaining high service standards and operational excellence.
What You Will Be Doing
- To process and handle trade finance transactions including import/export letters of credit, bills for collection, and trade loans in accordance with bank policies and regulatory guidelines
- To ensure timely and accurate execution of trade transactions and customer instructions
- To liaise with customers, internal departments, and external parties such as banks and shipping agents to resolve operational issues
- To ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, and other regulatory requirements
- To support continuous process improvements and system enhancements to improve operational efficiency and service quality
- To maintain proper documentation and records in line with audit and compliance requirements
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in trade finance operations
- Strong understanding of UCP600, ISP98, URC522, URR725, and other trade-related regulatory standards
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficient in SWIFT messaging and trade finance systems
- Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
