Job Description

  • Provide expert-level escalation support for handler, prober, and thermal-related issues at customer sites
  • Lead root-cause analysis on complex mechanical, thermal, and automation challenges impacting uptime, yield, or throughput
  • Minimise production impact through rapid diagnosis, structured troubleshooting, and corrective action
  • Track field failure trends and proactively collaborate with global engineering teams to drive product improvements
  • Plan and execute NPI evaluations for next-generation handling and thermal solutions
  • Validate performance across throughput, stability, thermal accuracy, and production robustness
  • Analyse evaluation data and translate findings into clear, actionable feedback for R&D
  • Propose design and solution enhancements to ensure scalable, reliable production deployment
  • Own handler and prober product safety tracking and follow-up (RFI, FCO, ANZEN)
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment and protection of customer devices through robust procedures and training
  • Partner with field and engineering teams to continuously improve equipment reliability and compliance
  • Deliver advanced technical training to field service engineers and customers
  • Conduct workshops, optimisation sessions, and train-the-trainer programs
  • Raise regional technical competency and reduce repeat escalations through structured knowledge sharing

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Thermal, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong hands-on experience in:Semiconductor final test handlers / probersThermal technologies (high-power, hot/cold, temperature control)Automation and electromechanical systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting, data analysis, and root-cause problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate confidently in customer-facing, high-pressure escalation scenarios
  • Comfortable collaborating across regional and global teams
  • Strong communicator who can translate complex technical issues clearly
  • Natural mentor who enjoys coaching engineers and sharing knowledge
  • Global mindset with the flexibility to support regional teams
