Senior Technical Consultant (Expert Advisory)

Position Overview

We are seeking a high-level Technical Consultant to provide elite architectural oversight and strategic advisory for major Oil & Gas EPC projects. This role functions as a senior technical authority, offering independent expertise to engineering, project management, and client teams. You will be responsible for ensuring the absolute technical integrity of complex energy infrastructure, navigating high-stakes decision-making, and providing innovative solutions across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Advisory: Deliver expert consulting and technical guidance throughout the engineering and project execution phases to optimize project outcomes.
  • Integrity Assurance: Perform high-level reviews and assessments of engineering designs, critical calculations, and complex deliverables to ensure strict alignment with international standards and project mandates.
  • Decision Support: Empower senior leadership with expert recommendations, robust risk assessments, and technical justifications for mission-critical engineering decisions.
  • Safety & Design Governance: Provide authoritative technical input during specialized workshops, including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and comprehensive design reviews.
  • Lifecycle Technical Oversight: Act as a senior technical resource during procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning to resolve high-complexity issues.
  • High-Level Interfacing: Serve as a key technical liaison between clients, global vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to settle technical queries and systemic challenges.
  • Technical Reporting: Author comprehensive assessments, white papers, and strategic recommendations for executive management and client stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a core Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related).
  • A minimum of 15 years of distinguished experience in the Oil & Gas or EPC sectors, with a proven track record in senior technical advisory or Subject Matter Expert(SME) roles.
  • Deep, specialized knowledge of EPC project execution workflows, global engineering standards, andindustry-leading best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent technical judgment and provide unbiased, high-impactadvisory support.
  • Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical data into strategic business insights.
  • Highly self-motivated with the capacity to manage multiple high-priority consulting assignments simultaneously under tight deadlines.
