Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and maintain scalable, high-performance web services using Java
• Partner with front-end developers to connect web services smoothly with web applications
• Build RESTful APIs to support seamless communication between client-side and server-side applications
• Apply best practices and standards to keep services reliable, resilient, and secure
• Tune services for scalability and speed, including caching, load balancing, and database optimization
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA engineers to deliver quality software solutions
• Review code, offer constructive feedback, and ensure alignment with coding standards
• Keep current with new Java and web services technologies and patterns
  
  

Requirements

• Professional IT background of 5+ years with at least 5+ years of strong Java proficiency
• Strong knowledge of building web services, including RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience using Spring Boot to build and deploy web services
• Solid background in security best practices, including Spring Security and JWT for authentication and authorization
• Practical experience with SQL queries and stored procedures, as well as Hibernate for ORM-based database access
• Working ability with Linux commands in development environments
• Thorough understanding of web security concepts and best practices
• Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git and ADO
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps (Sprint board, PR, Jenkins, Docker & Kubernetes, etc.)
• Exposure to Swing, AWT, JavaFX, and Java Desktop Applications
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to work productively in a collaborative team setting
• English level Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of Angular
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Background in Agile development methodologies, with certification in Java programming or related technologies
