Job Description
Eucharist-Tech Pte Ltd is a small Singapore-based company building a proprietary Java-based no-code application platform. Our system enables domain experts to design and run complex, distributed business applications without traditional programming.
We are hiring a Senior / Lead Software Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of key parts of the platform. This is a hands-on role with real influence over architecture, technical direction, and engineering practices.
In our team, senior engineers are not just implementers-they are decision-makers who directly shape the product.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance core platform components in Java
- Own technical decisions for scalability, reliability, and maintainability
- Lead and implement improvements to system architecture over time
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
- Set and maintain practical engineering standards (code quality, testing, performance)
- Mentor junior engineers and support their development
- Collaborate directly with founders/stakeholders on product and technical direction
Requirements
- 5-8+ years of backend software engineering experience with strong Java expertise
- Experience building and maintaining scalable, reliable backend systems
- Good understanding of system design, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure
- Ability to make practical technical decisions balancing speed, scalability, and maintainability
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience resolving production issues
- Familiar with engineering best practices including code reviews, testing, monitoring, and CI/CD
- Hands-on experience improving and evolving system architecture over time
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead by example
- Strong communication skills and comfortable working directly with founders/stakeholders
- Self-driven, pragmatic, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with Swing, SWT, or similar UI frameworks
- Experience with messaging systems (e.g. MQ)
- Knowledge of XML or related technologies
Salary Range
SGD$6,500 - $9,500 per month
Salary will be commensurate with experience and scope of responsibilities.
