Purpose and Scope

The Assistant Site Manager - supports the Site Manager in overseeing and managing civil, structural, Architectural, and/or mechanical & electrical works on-site. This role ensures that construction activities are executed in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines, while coordinating with various stakeholders to resolve site issues and maintain operational efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily site operations and ensure works are executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical and operational issues.
  • Monitor site progress and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Plan and manage the allocation of materials, tools, equipment, and machinery for site use.
  • Supervise site teams and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Ensure all workers are equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks to identify and address discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation including daily reports, inspection records, and progress updates.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and handover processes.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant site supervision or management experience in building or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders and resolving site-related issues.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive in managing site operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic project documentation tools.
