Electromagnetic Effects Research Laboratory (EMERL) is a DSO/NTU joint research laboratory that conduct cutting-edge research in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), an area critical to today's increasingly compact and sophisticated systems.

EMERL is seeking a senior researcher to perform EMI study of submarine cable and develop design guidelines to mitigate EMI, if any.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather key information and study the impact of HVAC power cables on telecommunications submarine systems.

• Simulate the induced currents and voltages onto HVDC cables of the telecommunications submarine systems.

• Work with the measurement contractor for experimental validation.

• Prepare progress reports.

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree in electrical engineering or related field with at least 5 years of EMC research experience

• Familiarity with EMC standards.

• Proficiency in electromagnetic simulation tools and measurements.

• Ability to lead the project with excellent organizational and time management skills.
