As a Senior Engineer, Signal Integrity, you will play a key role in providing advanced signal integrity design support for new and existing interconnect solutions. You will work on high‑speed digital testing, simulation, characterization, and development of cutting‑edge electrical design capabilities that support Molex's leadership in high‑speed interconnect technology. This role offers the opportunity to influence product development, work directly with global customers, and contribute to advanced R&D initiatives.
Our Team
You will join the DSS division's engineering team based in Singapore, reporting to the Director of Engineering. The team collaborates closely with Product Design, Sales & Marketing, and cross‑functional partners worldwide. We work with customers across diverse industries, delivering innovative interconnect solutions with real‑world impact.
What You Will Do
- Perform finite element simulations of electro‑mechanical interconnects.
- Conduct mathematical derivation and modeling of electro‑mechanical parameters.
- Characterize high‑speed connectors and systems using high‑speed digital testing and electromagnetic modelling techniques.
- Develop empirical and analytical electrical test procedures and specifications.
- Design and implement test fixtures, characterization boards, and customer verification boards.
- Work with PCB design houses and external partners to support characterization requirements.
- Generate evaluation and qualification reports/presentations for internal and customer use.
- Provide expert technical guidance to Marketing, Sales, and customers on signal‑integrity matters.
- Lead R&D work in advanced electrical design technologies.
- Develop guidelines to mitigate issues such as EMI, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and CFD in interconnect systems.
- Work with customers on high‑speed serial I/O, backplane, board‑to‑board, and channel applications.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in electrical/signal integrity design.
- Strong understanding of electromagnetics.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Physics.
- Experience designing and supporting high‑speed electrical interconnects.
- Hands‑on experience with CAD/CAE tools such as HFSS, CST, FDTD tools, MoM tools, Sigrity PowerSI, ADS, and Cadence.
- Experience correlating simulation results with lab measurements using oscilloscopes, TDRs, and VNAs.
- Ability to script/automate analysis flows.
