Job Description
Join Our Team - Senior Quantity Surveyor
Join our growing team in the marine construction industry! We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial, contractual, tendering, procurement, and cost management activities throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
Lead and participate in pre-tender and post-tender activities, including preparation, review, evaluation and administration of tender documentation.
Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, cost plans, budgets and tender submissions.
Manage tendering and procurement activities, including sourcing quotations, tender evaluation, price negotiation and subcontractor/supplier recommendations.
Prepare, review and administer subcontract agreements, purchase orders and other contract-related documentation.
Monitor project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, costs and expenditures to ensure projects remain within approved financial targets.
Identify cost variances, commercial risks and opportunities, and recommend appropriate corrective or mitigation measures.
Prepare, submit and negotiate progress claims, payment applications, variation orders, extension of time claims and final accounts.
Assess and certify subcontractor progress claims, variations and final accounts in accordance with contractual requirements.
Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project specifications and company procedures.
Liaise with clients, consultants, project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and relevant authorities on commercial and contractual matters.
Attend project meetings and provide commercial advice and recommendations to support project execution and decision-making.
Monitor scope changes and assess their financial and contractual impact.
Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality, safety or project requirements.
Support project teams in resolving contractual disputes, claims and commercial issues.
Supervise and provide technical guidance to Quantity Surveyors and junior team members.
Assist Management in tender reviews, business development initiatives and commercial decision-making.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of working experience in the construction industry.
Experience in marine construction will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with good leadership ability.
Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project and AutoCAD.
Good knowledge of tendering, contracts, cost control, claims and commercial management.
Able to start work immediately.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Alternate Saturday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
