Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP)

• Monitor all financial and commercial aspects of projects to ensure delivery within the approved budget.

• Liaise and coordinate with team members, consultants, clients, contractors, suppliers, architects, and other project stakeholders.

• Prepare and analyze cost comparisons to support procurement and commercial decisions.

• Obtain quotations and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.

• Carry out quantity measurement and taking-off works.

• Prepare monthly main contractor claims and variation orders for submission to consultants.

• Prepare monthly subcontractor payment certificates, variation orders, and final account settlements.

• Manage project budgets and implement effective cost-control measures.

• Handle post-contract administration for both the Main Contract and Subcontracts.

• Monitor project financial performance and ensure expenditure remains within budget.

• Establish and maintain good working relationships with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, developers, and contractors, particularly for certification of claims and payments.

• Source suitable and competitively priced materials throughout the various stages of the project.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of M&E Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry.

• Experience handling tendering for large-scale building projects would be advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of cost estimation, quantity take-off, tendering, claims, variation orders, subcontract administration, final accounts, and cost control.

• Detail-oriented and meticulous, with strong commercial and numerical skills.

• Good communication, coordination, and negotiation skills when dealing with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
