Job Summary

Lead contract administration and quantity surveying activities to drive accurate project costing, claims management, and subcontractor coordination for building construction projects, ensuring effective collaboration with clients, consultants, and site teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client and consultant meetings to coordinate project administration and resolve contract-related issues
  • Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to accurately calculate project quantities for structural and architectural elements
  • Prepare and formalize various building, piling, and nominated subcontract contracts to ensure compliance and clarity
  • Measure and quantify work elements to support precise project costing and resource allocation
  • Develop and evaluate quotations and cost comparisons to support informed decision-making
  • Manage pre- and post-contract administration including costing, claims, variation orders, final accounts, and progress claim evaluations to maintain project financial control
  • Prepare variation orders and interim valuations to reflect project changes and progress accurately
  • Establish contract agreements with subcontractors and suppliers to secure project deliverables and terms
  • Administer subcontracts by managing quotations, tenders, budgets, payments, variation orders, extensions of time, final accounts, and provide contractual advice to mitigate risks
  • Operate effectively between Headquarter and site locations to ensure seamless contract and project coordination
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and company objectives

Required competencies and certifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Building/Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing both pre- and post-contract activities in the building construction field

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Proficient in reading and communicating in Mandarin to liaise effectively with Mandarin-speaking contractors
  • Demonstrate confidence, drive, and excellent interpersonal skills to build strong professional relationships and influence project outcomes
