- To manage and handle day-to-day operation of the Contracts / Tender, Pre & Post department.
- Manpower planning and allocation/assignment of staff to various projects.
- Lead a team of QS and guide them towards achieving the expected project delivery in accordance with the respective project's requirements.
- Familiar with PSSCOC, REDAS, SIA contractual legislations, and SOP Act
- Lead in notification on the extension of time, contractual claims, variations, and any related loss and expense claims to the client and/or assessing and reviewing of extension of time, variations, and any related loss and expense claims by sub-contractors
- Able to deal with disputes arises from project execution amicably with the relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Provide procurement strategies and advise the key points of cost control in sub-contracting and potential variation orders to ensure provisions are catered for within cost and time.
- Advice on negotiating contract terms and conditions with subcontractors/suppliers
- Review, draft and prepare Sub-consultancy Agreement for the employment of Sub-Consultant by the company.
- A good team player whom is able to perform contracts management duties and support the project managers in areas including contracts management, preparation and evaluation of tenders.
- Estimate and formulate Construction cost - able to perform measurement to derive the quantity of works and provide budgetary/detailed construction cost.
Requirements:
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Senior QS function / mangerial role
Degree in Quantity Surveying / Contracts or Building
