Responsibilities
- Assist the Contract Manager in conducting cost estimates, cost planning, and cost management to support project budgeting
- Prepare contracts and related documentation to ensure compliance and clarity in project agreements
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations and manage procurement processes effectively
- Assist in preparing budgets and presenting cost information to stakeholders for informed decision-making
- Support billing processes by preparing accurate invoices and payment documentation
- Evaluate progress payments, variation orders (VOs), and conduct cost-benefit analyses to monitor project financial health
- Process variation orders by reviewing and approving changes to project scope and costs
- Verify subcontractors and suppliers monthly progress claims and obtain necessary approvals before preparing payment certificates
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, or Quantity Surveying
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in MRT construction projects
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience working on Land Transport Authority (LTA) projects is an advantage
- Demonstrated responsibility, positive work attitude, and leadership skills
- Ability to commence work on short notice
