Job Summary:
The Senior Quality Control Executive is responsible for overseeing day-to-day lab testing and quality operations to ensure that all raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products meet internal and regulatory food safety and quality standards. This role ensures compliance with HACCP, and GMP norms and plays a key part in continuous improvement of quality systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and supervise chemical, physical, and microbiological testing of raw materials, packaging materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards including HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and other relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Review COAs (Certificates of Analysis) and testing documentation approve test results.
- Investigate and document non-conformances, out-of-specification (OOS) results, and deviations.
- Collaborate with production and QA teams to resolve quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure proper sampling, retention, and traceability of materials.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment (e.g., moisture analyzers, pH meters, refractometers, etc.)
- Train and mentor junior QC.
- Participate in internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Ensure lab hygiene, safety, and good laboratory practices at all times.
- Maintain updated records of all lab activities as per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Requirement
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in Quality Assurance or Food Safety in food manufacturing
- Strong understanding of ISO, HACCP, SFA requirements
- Meticulous, analytical, and confident in handling audits and regulatory interactions
- Bonus: Experience in noodle or tofu food production
