Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage the entire construction process for landed residential projects, ensuring strict adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Site & Team Management: Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Provide mentorship to junior project engineers and coordinators.
- Budget Control: Manage project costs, evaluate progress claims, control variations, and optimize resource allocation to maximize profitability.
- Schedule Management: Develop and monitor detailed project schedules (using MS Project), identify potential risks (e.g., weather delays, material shortages), and implement corrective actions immediately.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and consultants. Facilitate smooth communication and resolve site conflicts efficiently.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous site inspections to ensure workmanship meets specifications. Enforce strict safety protocols in compliance with local regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate with QPs (Architect/Engineer) to ensure all works align with approved plans and authority requirements. Manage the inspection and approval process with BCA.
- Problem Solving: Address unforeseen site challenges (e.g., soil conditions, structural discrepancies) with practical, immediate solutions.
- Documentation: Prepare progress reports, site meeting minutes, and handover documentation for management and clients.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 12-15 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years focused specifically on landed residential projects.
- Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and project management software. Strong knowledge of local building regulations and safety standards for landed properties.
- Strong leadership, crisis management, and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure and make decisive on-site decisions.
