Job Responsibilities
. Conduct and review engineering calculations for equipment sizing, material selection, and system design.
. Lead the development of detailed design documents, including process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and system layouts.
. Oversee and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of gas, chemical, and water waste systems into overall project designs.
. Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements for gas and chemical systems.
. Conduct risk assessments, process hazard analyses (PHA), HAZOP, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to enhance safety and reliability.
. Evaluate new technologies and engineering solutions to improve system performance and efficiency.
. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring high-quality design and implementation.
. Manage project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication, ensuring successful project execution.
. Collaborate with procurement and vendors to assess equipment specifications, cost analysis, and supplier qualifications.
. Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering challenges, implementing best practices for system optimization.
. Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
. Minimum 6 - 10 years of experience in engineering roles related to gas, chemical, or water waste systems.
. Strong expertise in engineering calculations, equipment selection, and detailed design development.
. Experience with process safety management (PSM), risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.
. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other engineering design software is preferred.
. Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
. Must be able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates.
