Senior Civil Engineer

A Senior Civil Engineer leads complex infrastructure or construction projects, overseeing design, planning, and execution. They coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure structural integrity, compliance, safety, and project success.

-Education

. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required)

. Master's degree or specialization (e.g., Structural, Geotechnical, Transportation) is a plus

. Licensed or registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer status (depending on region)

. Completed course certification in BIM( Building Information Modeling)

- Experience

. Experience in BIM( Building Information Modeling) at least 3 years

. 5-10+ years of relevant civil engineering experience

. Proven track record managing medium to large-scale infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, utilities, buildings, etc.)

. Experience working in both consultancy and site-based environments

- Technical Skills

. Proficiency in civil design software: AutoCAD Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro or similar

. Knowledge of project management tools: MS Project, Primavera, BIM 360, etc.

. Deep understanding of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations (e.g., Eurocodes, AASHTO, BS, local regulations)

. Familiarity with tendering, cost estimation, and contract administration (e.g., FIDIC, NEC)

- Key Responsibilities

. Lead and oversee civil/structural design, analysis, and documentation

. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation

. Supervise and mentor junior engineers, drafters, and technical staff

. Ensure compliance with local engineering codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards

. Conduct or approve site inspections, quality checks, and technical reports

. Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities

. Participate in tender evaluations, value engineering, and design reviews
