Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Project Engineer with strong technical depth in PLC and SCADA systems to drive the delivery of industrial automation projects. This role spans the full engineering lifecycle-from initial design and system development to integration, testing, commissioning, and ongoing support-while working closely with both clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of engineering activities across the project lifecycle, including system design, development, integration, testing, and commissioning of PLC/SCADA solutions.
- Design and build system prototypes, conduct factory and site-level testing, and support deployment at customer locations.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure timely and effective project execution.
- Execute system integration works, including PLC programming, SCADA configuration, and deployment across various platforms.
- Participate in and oversee testing activities conducted both in-house and on-site.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables meet established technical standards, quality requirements, and project specifications.
- Manage software and hardware changes, including configuration control, version tracking, and documentation updates.
- Deliver end-to-end automation solutions-from concept design through implementation and final system handover.
- Work across multiple subsystems, ensuring seamless interfacing between PLCs, SCADA platforms, and related components.
- Produce technical documentation such as reports, schematics, and system drawings, and support technical discussions with stakeholders.
- Diagnose and resolve system faults independently during testing, commissioning, and operational phases.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience in PLC/SCADA engineering within industrial or automation projects.
- Practical experience in Safety PLC programming is essential.
- Hands-on familiarity with major PLC platforms such as Siemens and Schneider.
- Strong ability to interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting project timelines.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
