Senior Product Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Product Engineer at Jabil Circuit (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. will play a pivotal role in the entire product lifecycle, from design to mass production and continuous improvement. This position requires a strong technical background in manufacturing of Photonics devices.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage new product introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring smooth transition from design to manufacturing.
• Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues, yield excursions, and customer returns.
• Collaborate with design engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve technical challenges and improve product performance.
• Develop and implement test plans, fixtures, and equipment for product validation and production testing.
• Perform statistical data analysis to identify trends, predict failures, and drive continuous process improvement.
• Participate in design reviews, offering DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability) feedback.
• Prepare and present technical reports, analyses, and recommendations to management and cross-functional teams.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in electronics manufacturing.
  
  

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in product engineering within the electronics manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in test methodologies, equipment, and instrumentation (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMMs).
• Demonstrated experience with statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma methodologies, and problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
