About StrinGaze
StrinGaze is building the next generation of actuarial and financial modeling infrastructure for Asian insurers. Our platform replaces legacy, opaque modeling processes with something faster, more transparent, and built for the regulatory realities of this region — IFRS 17, RBC 2, and Solvency II. We work with insurers across Singapore, Malaysia, and broader APAC to modernize how they run valuation, pricing, and capital planning.
We're a small, technical team, and we're at the stage where the people we hire now will shape how we sell, deliver, and grow.
The Role
We're hiring a Senior Presales Consultant to join our Singapore team. This is a senior, high-ownership role for someone who's spent the last 8–10 years in actuarial consulting, presales, or client-facing solution work and is ready to help build — not just operate within — a go-to-market function.
You won't be stepping into a mature presales org with pre-built decks and a playbook. You'll be helping to define that playbook. You'll own client engagements end-to-end: leading discovery with insurers across APAC, translating messy business requirements into solution designs, and working directly with prospects actuarial and IT teams through the sales cycle. Expect regular travel across the region — Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, and beyond — working on-site with clients through key moments of the sales cycle. Beyond individual deals, you'll help shape how StrinGaze goes to market — the presales assets, demo narratives, marketing content, and brand positioning that define how the region sees us.
You'll work directly with commercial and product leadership and have real influence over how we sell and what we build next.
What you'll do
- Lead presales engagements with insurers across APAC — from first conversation through to signed deal
- Run discovery sessions and translate client pain points into concrete solution designs and proposals
- Deliver product demonstrations and technical deep-dives with actuarial, IT, and executive audiences
- Travel across APAC to meet clients and prospects on the ground where it matters
- Support proof-of-concept engagements where they're the right path to closing
- Build and maintain the presales asset library — demo environments, discovery frameworks, proposal templates, scenario walkthroughs, competitive battle cards
- Partner with product marketing on campaign content, explainer videos, case studies, and thought leadership aimed at APAC actuarial and finance audiences
- Shape how we position the platform in the market — messaging, branding, and how we differentiate against incumbents
What we're looking for
- 8–10 years in actuarial consulting, presales, or insurance client-facing solution roles — ideally within insurance, enterprise software, or professional services
- A track record of running complex, multi-stakeholder B2B engagements and driving them to commercial outcomes
- Experience presenting to and holding your own with senior executives — CFOs, Chief Actuaries, Heads of IT
- Strong analytical instincts — you can sit with a client, understand their actual problem, and design a credible path forward
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; comfortable translating technical material for commercial audiences and vice versa
- Willingness to travel regularly across APAC for client engagements
- Comfort operating in an early-stage environment where process is still being built and priorities shift
- Actuarial qualification (or progress toward one) is a strong plus — FSA, FIAA, FIA, or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, finance, mathematics, or a related field
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with actuarial modeling platforms (Prophet, AXIS, or similar)
- Familiarity with IFRS 17, RBC 2, or Solvency II
- Prior experience at a Big 4 actuarial practice, life insurer, reinsurer, or insurance software vendor
- Working proficiency in Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia for regional client work
Why this role
- Shape the presales and go-to-market function of an APAC-focused insurtech from the ground up
- Regular travel across the region with direct exposure to senior stakeholders at major insurers in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, and beyond
- Work on genuinely interesting technical problems — not commodity software sales
- Small team, short feedback loops, and real ownership over how the function grows
