Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Officer to contribute to the efficient and effective operations within United Overseas Bank Ltd. This role involves a blend of operational oversight, process improvement, and collaborative support to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute and oversee daily operational tasks, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce risks.
- Prepare and review reports, documentation, and data analysis to support decision-making and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex issues, address inquiries, and facilitate smooth workflow.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned, contributing to their successful completion.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant banking products, services, and industry trends.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data and records under their purview.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a banking or financial services environment, with a demonstrable track record in an operational role.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, regulatory compliance, and risk management principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with relevant banking software/systems.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and external parties.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
