As a Senior Officer, Laboratory Information, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of the laboratory information system, laboratory equipment software, and other relevant applications.
- Enhance and optimise information systems to enable the laboratory team to achieve key performance targets.
- Support the implementation, upkeep, and operation of the Laboratory Information System, including reconciliation of tests across multiple interfaces.
- Provide IT and technical support to all laboratory sections to ensure turnaround time targets are met, including assistance during system downtime or failures.
- Ensure staff compliance with established policies, work instructions, and guidelines, and collaborate with the Laboratory Manager as well as reporting officers on disciplinary matters when necessary.
- Ensure all IT-related incidents are reported promptly, assist in investigations, and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain the laboratory intranet, dashboards, and internal software or applications to ensure optimal functionality.
- Deliver training, competency assessments, and supervision for medical laboratory technologists and medical officers.
- Prepare, review, and update documentation such as policies, bench guides, as well as forms.
- Identify and resolve major system issues, and determine when escalation is required.
- Comply with all applicable laws and organisational protocols.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent.
- At least 4 years of relevant working experience.
