Who We Need
We are looking for a Senior / System Support Officer to provide technical support to end users and manage the full lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets.
IT Asset Management & Lifecycle
- Manage procurement, deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and end-of-life (EOL) of IT hardware and software.
- Ensure timely renewal of licenses and compliance with licensing agreements.
- Track warranties and coordinate hardware repairs or replacements.
- Recommend hardware/software solutions based on business needs and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain an accurate and uptodate IT asset inventory.
- Develop and enforce asset management policies and procedures.
- Work with vendors and procurement teams for sourcing and asset management.
- Monitor software usage and ensure alignment with security policies.
IT Operations & Project Support
- Support IT relocation activities, new setups, and scheduled deployments.
- Provide analysis and reporting for asset tracking and performance.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth IT operations.
- Lead or support adhoc IT initiatives and evaluations.
- Serve as an escalation point for asset management and technical support issues.
Governance
- Manage local licensing and compliance requirements.
- Apply ITIL best practices.
- Adhere to organisational IT policies and procedures.
How to Succeed
- Diploma in IT, Computer Science or related field.
- ITIL certification preferred Asset Management/Procurement certifications are a plus.
- 3-5 years experience in IT asset management, technical support, or IT operations.
- Strong understanding of hardware/software lifecycle and asset inventory tools.
- Knowledge of procurement, vendor management, and software licensing models.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
- Ability to lead asset-related initiatives and drive process improvements.
