Senior Manager - Operations Lead (Electrical)

Salary Range: SGD 8,000 - 12,000

Work Schedule: 5.5-day work week

Location: HQ at Ang Mo Kio (role involves frequent site visits)

A. Technical Leadership

• Provide technical advice and guidance to Project Managers and Engineers on electrical and mechanical matters.

• Prepare and review technical write-ups, specifications, and compliance documents.

• Interpret drawings, specifications, terms & conditions, and other relevant project documents.

• Advise on technical specification compliance and value engineering for tenders and ongoing projects.

• Support tender preparation, including technical presentations and tender interviews.

• Collect and analyse technical information for future projects and tenders.

• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

• Train, mentor, and develop Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.

B. Operations & Project Oversight

• Review project scope, programmes, manpower histograms, Gantt charts (Microsoft Project), and organisation charts.

• Monitor project cashflow and P&L performance.

• Attend meetings with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve operational and technical issues.

• Provide solutions to site issues, manpower deployment, and project management challenges.

• Assist site teams with Variation Orders (VOs), value engineering, recruitment, and claims management.

• Handle settlement of claims with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

• Provide mentorship to junior staff and motivate project teams.

• Apply strong contractual knowledge to support project execution.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering recognised by PE Board Singapore / BCA / IES.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Mechanical & Electrical services, preferably within an M&E consultancy firm.

• Preferably a Professional Engineer (Electrical) or LEW (Grade 9).

• Strong competency in electrical power and control system design.

• Familiar with Singapore government regulations on electrical installations.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

• Self-motivated, confident, and capable of engaging senior management, clients, and consultants.
