Job Summary & Responsibilities
- Act as SME of inventory control / management with the organization throughout the entire organization and new business integrations
- Ability to manage a global program interacting with Operations, finance, SOX personnel, internal & external audit and drive compliance and expected results
- Drives monthly and year-end inventory cycle counts / Physical Inventory, inventory variance / reconciliation activities, and reports performance results.
- Responsible for reconciling warehouse OH balance discrepancies between internal WMS (ERP) and Supplier WMS systems
- Ensures all cycle count and Physical inventory procedures are properly documented, adhered to and up to date.
- Ensures proper approval levels are obtained and documented against varying levels of inventory adjustments.
- Proper documentation is archived for audit / compliance purposes.
- Oversees the records of all stocks and compiles evaluation reports, including daily audits.
- Evaluate general inventory best practices and provide recommendations accordingly. Such areas may include: Proper bin / location sizing, location labeling, adjustment practices, proper inventory segments, Cycle Count / Physical Inventory program approach, aged inventory reporting and actioning, proper material flow, system adjustment protocol, reconciliation practices.
- Has over site review of in-transit material to ensure integrity and compliance on inbound receiving
- Deals directly with 3PL's on performance against contracted SLA's
- Ability to work with finance on resolving variance discrepancies between book and physical count results
Qualifications
Education:
- Associates or Bachelors Degree. 7-10 years experience in a relevant job/industry role
Knowledge:
- Materials and ERP knowledge and ability to understand inventory control, SOX requirements, warehouse operations. Previous Oracle experience is preferred.
- Advanced understanding of basics / fundamentals of all inventory control including Cycle Counting, Physical Inventory execution, proper receiving to put-away and picking to shipping protocol, cosmetics inspection, quarantine inventory protocol, variance reconciliation and reporting, performance reporting Computer literate in Microsoft Office suite (Excel primarily)
- Familiar with how to read and action inventory reporting.
- At least 5 years experience in transportation, warehouse, distribution or other logistics related environment.
- Excellent communications skills (written, verbal & listening) and interpersonal skills needed in order to interface with and influence all levels of personnel

- Being flexible in accommodating changes and re-prioritization of deliverables.
- Good Relationship with all the functions within the organization, Good Decision Making Capability, Leadership Skills.
- High level of excel, powerpoint capabilities to perform role as required
Experience:
- Min 7-10 years plus of Inventory Control/ Warehouse experience, leading a team and running a warehouse with a shipping department
- Finance background preferred
