We seek an experienced R&D product design engineer with hands-on experience in technology development, product design & development, regulatory standards and commercialization of these products to the market. He/she is expected to lead, guide and execute with clinical innovators, the refinement of technological offerings for the potential marketplace, in partnership with the DIMICT team and hospital. He/she will also support clinicians in regulatory filings, design reviews and preparation for market readiness processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Strategize, create and drive technology development that results in the creation of KK's intellectual property. Ownership and leadership of Product Development cycle, end to end
- Planning of technology roadmaps for strategic areas of innovation in women's and pediatric health
- Device development to a Minimal Viable Product stage, for selected projects
- Co-lead regulatory preparation and risk management of medical devices with partners
- Co-lead and support technology portfolio work with technology assessments and curation for best-in-class solutions
- Co-lead strategic technology development projects and programs with selected partners
- Support project management of selected partnerships to ensure successful delivery
- Support Grant applications by providing technical and risk assessment know-how
- Support global and local commercialization efforts in women's and pediatric health from technical perspective
- Support training, education and mentorship of KK staff to raise the innovation technology capability and culture. Assist PIs to write and publish papers, conferences on co-developed projects
- Promotes the development of an effective collaborative relationship to foster staff engagement and partnership in promoting safety culture through multidisciplinary and cross functional teams involvement in projects and reviews

Job Requirements
- Master in Engineering / Science / Business Administration or Degree in Engineering / Science / Business Administration (for Master Degree - min 7 yrs, for Bachelor Degree - min 9 yrs, in medical technology innovation understanding in formulating new programs in healthcare institution substantial knowledge in HBRA & PDPA)
- Holds corporate patents, as main inventor or co-inventor. Preferably adopted in marketed products
- Has designed & delivered 1-2 products to commercial market, and has worked on it from feasibility studies, concept development, product design, regulatory approval to market release, with a team or as a leader
- Has 8 years of R&D product design experience. Preferably 3 years in medical device or healthcare-technology companies
- Strong technical skills, learns new technology quickly, and is open to new challenges in developing/managing emerging technology
- Preferably with skills in medical device development, digital health development, intellectual property know-how, global medical device standards knowledge. Preferably with good understanding of Artificial Intelligence applications
- Hands on knowledge of vendor and project management
- Good communication and negotiation skills, strategic thinking skills and ability to work across a matrix structure. Comfortable with fluid structures, and welcomes change on a regular basis
