Your Job

We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Engineering Manager to lead and grow our automation engineering capabilities in Molex Singapore. In this role, you will drive endtoend machine design, automation development, and technical support to enable productivity, quality, and operational excellence across our connector manufacturing processes.

Our Team

You will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Division, partnering closely with production, tooling, quality, and crossfunctional engineering teams. The role also interfaces with global plants, external vendors, and equipment partners, providing opportunities to collaborate, innovate, and develop technical leadership across sites.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible and managing department cost control.
  • Responsible for the management of manpower for Manufacturing Engineering department.
  • Responsible for the production output, product quality, yield and machine utilization performance for new and expansion machines.
  • Responsible for connector machine design, assembly and debug of new automated connector machines for assembly and other shop floors.
  • Manage technical challenges effectively across all connector manufacturing processes.
  • Provide expert problem-solving support for connector manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on problem solving with disciplined root cause analysis.
  • Embed quality-by-design in automation: error-proofing, traceability, validation, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Take a lead for productivity improvement + cost reduction activities.
  • Provide support services to other departments to ensure prompt delivery of automation machines, no customer complaints through efficient repair and maintain all machines.
  • Control department expenditures and expenses within given budget by the management.
  • Develop new technologies to achieve more efficient processes to gain higher productivity and shorten lead time for faster machine time to market.
  • Committed to Quality Standards. Owns and acts on quality problems and helps to resolve / provide solutions.
  • To maintain and ensure a safe and clean work environment that supports all safety programs.
  • Coach + train all engineers to increase their work efficiency, safety, and quality of work and PBM.
  • Rewards and motivations, recognition and appreciation foster a sense of belonging and loyalty, reinforcing desired behaviors for entire automation engineering team.
  • Support sub-con activities and tooling support to generate revenue and profitability.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the management.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • If you hold a degree, you should bring 8+ years of connector engineering experience, including 3 years leading teams or supervising technical work.
  • If you hold a diploma, you should have 10+ years of connector engineering experience with demonstrated supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in tooling, die, automation engineering and connector manufacturing processes.
  • Proven ability in structured technical problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Experience leading technical teams and driving engineering performance.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with automation applied to connector manufacturing processes.
  • Strong understanding of machine design, assembly, test, and release.
