Senior M&E Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage M&E project execution to achieve construction schedules and quality standards
• Coordinate and facilitate meetings with clients, consultants, and main contractors to align project objectives and resolve issues
• Organize, lead, and coordinate office teams to capture project Variation Orders (VOs) in collaboration with Quantity Surveyors and Drafters
• Direct and manage site teams to ensure timely completion of construction works according to project schedules
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including schedules, Risk Assessments (RA), Method of Statements (MOS), and other execution paperwork
• Manage subcontractors on site, ensuring work aligns with project requirements and timelines
• Lead and participate in tender exercises by providing technical input and assisting in Bill of Quantities (BQ) take-offs when required
• Assess and prepare monthly progress claims for submission, coordinating with administrative support
• Review and evaluate subcontractor monthly progress claims to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and ensure project scope coverage
• Assess supplier and subcontractor quotations to confirm full scope coverage and minimize uncovered work
• Identify and introduce new vendors or subcontractors where applicable to enhance project delivery

Requirement

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Singapore's construction industry, specifically in M&E services
• Proficient in interpreting project specifications and drawings related to M&E systems
• Knowledgeable of Singapore building codes and regulations, including BCA Green Mark requirements
• Familiarity with relevant service providers in the Singapore market
• Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and BIM drawings
• Basic skills in AutoCAD for simple sketches
• Capability to perform basic hydraulic calculations for air and water systems
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude.
