Senior Mechanical Engineer (M&E Consultancy)

Job Description

We are an established M&E consultancy firm seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical building services for a range of developments, including data centres, laboratories, commercial and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical building services designs including:

  • ACMV / HVAC systems

  • Chilled water systems

  • Plumbing & sanitary systems

  • Fire protection systems (coordination level)

• Perform engineering calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection.

• Prepare design drawings, specifications, reports, and tender documentation.

• Coordinate with clients, architects, structural engineers, and other consultants.

• Liaise with authorities (e.g. BCA, SCDF, NEA) for submissions and approvals.

• Review contractor submissions including shop drawings, method statements, and material samples.

• Attend design coordination meetings, site meetings, and inspections.

• Support projects from design stage through construction and completion.

• Provide guidance to junior engineers when required.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in M&E consultancy / building services engineering.

• Strong knowledge of ACMV / HVAC system design.

• Experience in data centre and/or laboratory / cleanroom projects will be an advantage.

• Familiar with Singapore codes and authority submission processes.

• Proficient in AutoCAD experience with BIM / Revit is an advantage.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.

• Salary range: $5,000 - $6,500 per month, commensurate with experience
