Senior Legal Counsel

Key Responsibilities of this Senior Legal Counsel:

• Support the General Counsel in developing and implementing global legal frameworks, governance policies, and best practices
• Provide legal oversight for day-to-day business operations, including commercial transactions and procurement agreements
• Advise on corporate matters such as mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, restructuring, and new business initiatives
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and procurement contracts with clients, vendors, and partners
• Develop and maintain contract templates, legal standards, and documentation processes
• Manage external counsel across transactional, advisory, and dispute-related matters
• Oversee litigation, dispute resolution, and regulatory investigations, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
• Advise on legal and regulatory matters relating to offshore, marine, and renewable energy sectors

Key Requirements of this Senior Legal Counsel:

• Qualified lawyer with a recognised law degree and at least 10 years of post-qualification experience
• Blend of private practice and/or in-house experience, ideally with exposure to complex, project-based or industrial environments
• Proven track record in negotiating and advising on commercial agreements within a cross-border context
• Experience handling or overseeing disputes, claims, or contentious matters in a business setting
• Familiarity with sectors such as infrastructure, energy, engineering, or industrial projects will be viewed favourably
• Able to operate autonomously while managing multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment
• Strong business acumen, with an ability to balance legal risk against operational objectives
• Confident communicator with experience engaging senior internal and external stakeholders
