The (Senior) Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing strategic customer relationships to achieve business growth and long-term partnership objectives. This role focuses on key client acquisition, relationship management, early project engagement, and contract execution, ensuring customer satisfaction and business profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
An experienced sales professional who is proactive, analytical, and results-oriented capable of understanding complex customer needs, translating them into actionable sales strategies, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutions. He / she must demonstrate commercial acumen, professionalism, and resilience in handling high-value clients and long sales cycles.
- Key Account Development:
- Identify, acquire, and manage key accounts to expand business opportunities and strengthen market presence.
- Develop customized sales strategies and account plans tailored to major clients.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through continuous engagement and trust-building.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring smooth communication and issue resolution.
- Early Project Involvement (UI Influence):
- Engage with customers early in the product or project development phase to influence design, specifications, and decision-making.
- Coordinate with internal technical and product teams to align solutions with customer needs.
- Business Negotiation and Quotation Management:
- Lead commercial discussions, negotiate pricing, and ensure competitive yet profitable quotations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prepare proposals, costings, and sales documentation.
- Contract Management:
- Oversee the preparation, review, and execution of sales contracts in compliance with company policies.
- Monitor contract performance and ensure fulfilment of obligations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Technical teams to deliver comprehensive customer solutions.
- Provide feedback and market insights to support product strategy and business planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 58 years of experience in key account management or B2B sales, preferably with exposure to large or strategic clients within the Data Centre or related technology industries.
- Proven track record in client acquisition, contract negotiation, and long-term relationship management.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
- Willing to travel as required.
