Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior IBM Datacap Developer with strong expertise in IBM Datacap application development, customization, production support, troubleshooting, and FileNet integration. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-scale document capture solutions. Experience in Datacap customization using C# .NET and VBScript, along with IBM Content Navigator (ICN) customization using JavaScript/Dojo, is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and support IBM Datacap applications and workflows.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, batch processing failures, and performance bottlenecks.
- Develop and maintain custom Datacap actions, rules, and workflows using C#/.NET and VBScript.
- Configure and optimize OCR, classification, validation, recognition, and export processes.
- Support and troubleshoot Datacap integrations with IBM FileNet Content Manager.
- Perform database analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization using SQL Server and/or Oracle.
- Monitor and tune RuleRunner services, batch processing performance, and system throughput.
- Manage queue configurations, batch administration, and environment support activities.
- Participate in application upgrades, deployments, migrations, and environment refresh activities.
- Integrate Datacap with external applications, APIs, web services, email systems, and enterprise platforms.
- Collaborate with business users, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders to deliver enhancements and resolve issues.
- Prepare technical documentation and provide L2/L3 production support, including occasional after-hours support when required.
Required Skills
- 8-12 years of IT experience with at least 5+ years of hands-on IBM Datacap development experience.
- Strong understanding of Datacap architecture, DCO design, workflow configuration, OCR, validation, recognition, and export processing.
- Experience with Datacap Studio, Application Manager, RuleRunner, Datacap Navigator, and TM Web.
- Strong development experience using C#/.NET and VBScript.
- Strong production support, troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience configuring and tuning RuleRunner services and batch processing workflows.
- Good knowledge of IBM FileNet Content Manager and Datacap-FileNet integrations.
- Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle databases.
- Experience with Datacap upgrades, migrations, deployments, and environment refresh activities.
- Experience integrating Datacap with external applications, APIs, email channels, or web services.
- Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with IBM Content Navigator (ICN) customization using JavaScript, Java, and Dojo.
- Experience with Datacap Web Services, REST APIs, and custom integrations.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise production environments.
- Knowledge of document management, records management, and enterprise content management solutions.
- Experience with Windows Server, IIS, and application support environments.
