Morgan McKinley is partnering with a client to hire for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role in shaping financial decisions and supporting strategic growth.
About the Role
As part of the finance team, you'll take ownership of planning, analysis, and reporting activities to help guide key business decisions. You will partner closely with cross-functional leaders to provide actionable insights, ensure financial accuracy, and enhance overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with business goals.
- Perform variance analysis and work closely with internal stakeholders to explain financial trends and performance drivers.
- Conduct financial modelling and scenario analysis to evaluate business cases, investments, and strategic initiatives.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and provide updates on liquidity and financial health.
- Prepare and present management reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for leadership.
- Support month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Champion process improvement and automation, leveraging tools like Power BI, Excel, and ERP systems.
Requirements
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent are advantageous.
- 35 years of experience in FP&A, management accounting, or audit (Big 4 experience a plus).
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with advanced Excel and Power BI proficiency.
- Exposure to Oracle, SAP, or similar systems is preferred.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights.
