Senior Field Service Engineer – Power Systems

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Field Service Engineer for one of our clients, a well-established and reputable leader in the industrial and engineering services sector. This person will lead technical operations across the Southeast Asia region. This role focuses on the mechanical integrity, commissioning, and advanced troubleshooting of large-scale power generation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Commissioning & Testing: Lead on-site acceptance testing and commissioning for complex system projects at client sites.

• Root Cause Analysis: Investigate mechanical engine failures, perform deep-dive diagnostics, and recommend sustainable technical solutions.

• Technical Leadership: Provide expert-level after-sales support and on-site service to regional distributors and dealers in a timely manner.

• Training & Mentorship: Develop and deliver specialized technical training for junior engineers and distributors to enhance regional troubleshooting capabilities.

• Performance Maintenance: Oversee routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance and prevent critical failures.

• Documentation & Reporting: Generate detailed service reports, diagnostic logs, and technical documentation for all field activities.

• Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in aftermarket processes and contribute to the development of enhanced service procedures.

• Stakeholder Management: Coordinate effectively with internal engineering and sales teams, as well as international counterparts, to resolve high-level technical issues.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in field service, specifically within the power generation or heavy engine industry.

• Willingness to travel extensively across the Asia Pacific and Southeast Asia regions.

• Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both internal teams and external customers.

• Highly customer-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for power generation technology.
