Senior Executive, Procurement

Responsibilities

• Work closely with requestors to establish a well-defined scope for effectiveand efficient sourcing
• Source from qualified and reliable sources to meet requirements andspecifications
• Developnew and existing suppliers and recommend alternative componentto add value in the early design and testing phases (prototype)
• Confidently engages supplier and negotiate for the best deal for the company
• Perform supply chain cost analysis and implement cost efficient and effectivepurchasing strategies
• Establishpricing for tenders and support production activities
• Well verse in contractual T&C and establish contracts with key suppliers
• Ability to interpret within established procedures (including regulatoryrequirements) and practices
• Work closely with the planner and implement engineering changes whilstensuring on-time deliveries of part with the right quality at the righttime. Includes supporting on warranty claims.
• Management of Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order as well as purchaseforecast to suppliers inclusive of rescheduling to meet changes in demand
• Exercise good vendor management and monitor performance of suppliers tomeet objectives in the area of quality, inventory control and actively engagessuppliers with regard to quality and production feedbacks (supplier evaluationand supplier development)

Requirements

• Degree in any Engineering fieldwith relevant years of experience
• Candidates with an engineering diploma with years of experience insourcing& negotiating(those with sourcing inElectronics/Electricalwould a be a plus point)
• Team player who enjoys a teamwork environment and is able to communicatewith individuals at all levels/positions
• Open-minded, Independent, self-motivated, result oriented with ability to work underpressure and willing to work beyond normal call of duty
• ERP(SAP) knowledge with a keen interest inautomotive platformswill be anadvantage
