Job Description

The Monitoring & Surveillance unit under Training & Competency (T&C) is responsible for ensuring that insurance sales and advisory activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and quality standards. This role supports the business by providing ongoing assurance that sales representatives maintain the required standards of knowledge, conduct, and performance after initial certification. The role involves working closely with the sales representative and relevant depar tments to support and develop the company's competency standards,

Position Responsibilities:

1. T&C Governance & Regulatory Support

  • Support the Team Lead in planning and implementing the T&C workplan.

  • Handle regulatory inspections and audit queries, including tracking and closure of remediation actions.

  • Conduct annual reviews of T&C policies, manuals, and internal SOPs in line with regulatory and industry developments.

2. Conduct Risk Monitoring & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct and monitor trend analysis relating to representative conduct risk.

  • Perform quality assurance reviews on supervisory duties, including supervisory audits and pre-transaction client callbacks.

3. Agency Engagement & Supervisory Enablement

  • Work closely with Agency Management and Agency Leaders to ensure adherence to the T&C Manual.

  • Conduct ad-hoc branch sharing on supervisory responsibilities, including coaching, meetings, joint fieldwork, and audit observations.

  • Implement initiatives and monitoring processes to uplift supervisory standards of Agency Leaders and Representatives.

4. T&C Materials & Projects

  • Design, maintain, and enhance T&C materials (e.g. coaching and joint fieldwork forms, Compliance & Competency Playbook, annual competency exercise materials).

  • Undertake projects and other activities assigned by the team lead.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of Sales, Sales Quality, Training & Competency, Compliance or other control functions.

  • Familiar with life insurance sales advisory process and industry regulations and guidelines.

  • High attention to detail and strong execution discipline.

  • CMFAS Module 5, 9, 9A and Certificate in Health Insurance are preferred but not mandatory.
