Job Scope
Our client is looking for an individual that will play a key part in mitigating operational risks and managing the lifecycle of maritime-related claims. This is an ideal position for an analytical professional who is passionate about maritime law, loss prevention, and the digital transformation of traditional claims processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration of comprehensive risk coverage programs, including marine liability and property portfolios. Contribute data-driven insights for annual policy reviews.
- Oversee the end-to-end processing of operational claims, from initial notification and evidence gathering to final settlement negotiations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify recurring operational hazards and implement preventive strategies to reduce future exposures.
- Assist in the evolution of internal management systems by identifying opportunities for automation, improved data visualization, and process efficiency.
- Act as a point of contact for external partnersincluding legal counsel, technical surveyors, and underwritersto ensure equitable resolution of disputes.
- Synthesize complex claim data into actionable reports for management, highlighting trends and financial impacts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, Law, or a related commercial discipline.
- More than 1 year of experience within maritime operations, logistics, or insurance. Candidates from P&I, brokerage, or legal backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
- A strong interest in how technology and data analytics can modernize claims handling and risk assessment.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to navigate complex contractual and legal documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities and a customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in modern office productivity suites and the ability to manage high-volume tasks under tight deadlines.
