[What the role is]
This is a 2-year contract position as a Senior Executive in the CET Academy.
This role supports system upgrading projects by providing project coordination and testing administration. The incumbent will work closely with business users, campus IT and vendors to plan and coordinate testing activities, consolidate test outcomes, track defects and risks, and produce timely status reporting to support successful implementation.
[What you will be working on]
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide project administration support for system upgrade initiatives (e.g., schedules, meeting minutes, action tracking, system requirement gathering and documentation).
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand current-state processes and operational requirements impacted by upgrade changes; document process walkthroughs and translate them into test and implementation requirements.
- Coordinate planning with business users, campus IT, and vendors, including test scope, test data readiness, and test environment schedules.
- Support creation, execution tracking and maintenance of test cases and test scripts; ensure test evidence is properly captured.
- Collate, analyse and report test results, defects and outstanding issues; follow up with vendors/teams on defect reproduction, fixes and re-testing.
- Support coordination of issue troubleshooting during testing and post-deployment, including tracking root causes and documenting resolutions/workarounds.
- Maintain project trackers for risks, issues and decisions; escalate items where required and support mitigation planning.
- Prepare regular project and testing status updates for management reporting (e.g., dashboards, statistics, and summaries).
- Support preparation and updating of end-user artefacts (e.g., training guides, user manuals, and release communications) as needed for go-live.
[What we are looking for]
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in IT project support and/or end-to-end systems testing (UAT/SIT) preferred; fresh graduates with relevant exposure will also be considered.
- Ability to understand and document business processes and translate requirements into test scenarios, test cases and user documentation.
- Experience in defect tracking, test results reporting and documentation of requirements/test artefacts; exposure to enterprise applications (e.g., CRM/ERP or similar) is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) for tracking, collation and reporting.
- Self-starter and strong team player, able to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders; resilient, adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player, able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
