Job Description

The Senior Executive will drive data analytics and programme evaluation to advance SOS's suicide prevention mission. As part of the Innovation & Research team, this role harnesses data analytics and innovative methodologies to enable evidence-based decision-making. The incumbent will design and implement measurement tools, monitor programme effectiveness, and transform insights into actionablestrategies that enhance service delivery and reinforce organisationalexcellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Generate Strategic Insights and Evaluate Programmes

  • Conduct routine and ad hoc data analysis to support programme evaluation and strategic decision-making.
  • Design and implement measurement tools, analyse results, and provide recommendations to improve policies and programmes.
  • Develop theories of change and logic models to inform outcome indicators, study design, and analytic plans.
  • Monitor programme effectiveness and alignment with organisational goals using robust evaluation frameworks.
  • Produce reports in various formats (long-form, slide deck, infographic) and translate findings into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with programme teams and external partners to deliver timely, high-quality evaluation outputs and outcomes.

Data Analytics and Innovation

  • Analyse quantitative and qualitative data (e.g., text transcripts, survey responses) to identify patterns, themes, and insights.
  • Develop automated scripts and dashboards to streamline reporting and enhance productivity.
  • Develop capabilities for real-time analytics for operational and strategicdecision-making and response.
  • Design and execute experimental studies (e.g., A/B testing) to evaluate programme changes or new interventions.
  • Apply predictive and prescriptive analytics, including statistical modelling and machine learning, to inform proactive interventions.

Data Governance and Management

  • Develop and enforce data management standards to ensure seamless integration, classification, and sharing for effective research analysis.
  • Maintain data accuracy and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

Support Organisational Capacity Building

  • Design and deliver workshops related to data analytics, evaluation methodologies, and ethical practices.
  • Conduct landscape scans and benchmarking to identify emerging trends and best practices in suicide prevention.


Educational Qualification:

Bachelor in relevant field such as Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Programme Evaluation, Applied Research or Evaluation, Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Sociology, Health Sciences, or Public Policy or Social Policy.

Additional training or certificationin any of the following would be advantageous:

  • Familiar with data analysis software and tools(e.g., Python, R, Stata, SPSS, and NVivo)
  • Trauma-informed or ethical research practices
  • Innovation and Design Thinking

Relevant Experience:

At least 3 years of experience in data analytics and programme evaluation, preferably in health or social service setting, with sensitivity to vulnerable populations and complex client needs.
