About the Client
Our client is one of the largest international shipping conglomerates, a major player in the global container transportation industry. They operate a colossal, modern fleet and a worldwide network that connects major ports across all continents.
Job Scope
The department is seeking expertise in the lifecycle management and quality control of standard and temperature-controlled shipping containers. Experience within the liner shipping sector or a closely related equipment-focused transportation/logistics field is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the formulation of global policies, and guidelines for the maintenance, repair, and quality assurance of the standardized equipment fleet.
- Provide technical directions to regional/local teams and external service providers regarding maintenance activities to control expenditures and uphold quality standards.
- Oversee and provide support for global cost management initiatives related to equipment upkeep.
- Contribute to the establishment of the organization's asset management goals and performance targets.
- Conduct regular, in-depth data analysis to monitor key performance indicators, identify strategic areas for process improvement, and report findings to senior management.
- Perform routine audits of equipment depots (including administrative checks and training) with the team to ensure strict adherence to Group policy, procedure, and quality standards.
- Work closely with leadership to develop strategic direction and contribute to organization-wide equipment strategy.
Requirements
- Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics or any relevant discipline is a plus.
- More than 2 years of experience in maintenance, repair operations, and/or specialized equipment flow management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for global correspondence.
- Highly detailed, analytical, and capable of operating effectively with a high degree of independence.
- Possesses a strong sense of ownership and accountability for critical operational outcomes.
