The Senior Executive/Assistant Manager cum Team Lead supports business growth and operational excellence within the general insurance segment by managing day-to-day business development activities, driving sales initiatives, and leading a team to achieve performance targets. As a team lead, coach and enable executives to win and retain accounts, uphold underwriting standards, and ensure service excellence for agents and direct clients.
Responsibilities:
1) Team Leader
- Supervise and guide team members in achieving individual and team KPIs.
- Allocate tasks,monitor progress, and provide coaching to enhance productivity and servicequality.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages continuous learning.
2) Business Development& Growth
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across general insurance lines.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve premium targets and market share objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, and corporate clients to drive retention and acquisition.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify growth areas and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements.
3) Underwriting &Pricing Governance
- Underwrite commercial/industrial risks within delegated authority, adhering to underwriting guidelines and treaty terms propose recommendations to Underwriting for risks beyond authority.
- Prepare compliant, competitive quotations for agents/clients and review renewal terms, making necessary adjustments to premiums, conditions and wording.
- Coordinate and/or conduct risk surveys when required to support sound underwriting decisions.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree holders, or related discipline
- Preferably with minimum 5 years working experience
- Must have Certificate In General Insurance (CGI)
- Willingness to learn and meticulous
- Possess good interpersonal and communications skills.
